OUR STORY

Elicia Collier grew up with horses, and her love for them never ceased. Her daughter, Coral, inherited the same passion. When a horse, by a wish, fell into their laps, it started a huge journey.

Coral and Elicia have spent years working in barns in the New England area, providing a standard of excellence in daily care. They have experience working with horses of all backgrounds and experiences from green to school masters, and from minis to Hanoverians. During their time caring for these farms horses the boarders often would rave about the exceedingly above par care, stating their horses were well cared for and given wonderful treatment.

Now after one horse named Blue rekindled Elicia and Coral’s destiny to work with horses, they opened their own farm in April 2021 and named it after the horse and angel who started it all.

BLUE’S STORY

Blue was a neglected pony, and Coral a free-spirited red head. Their story started with a wish Coral made to Arch Angel Michael, asking him for a free horse. Coral did not really expect for the wish to come true, but felt it was worth a try and a little faith.

Within a month, Coral met Blue by chance through an outing with a family friend. They fell in love at first sight. Although the original owner insisted that Blue was Coral’s horse, he refused to allow Blue to be bought and wouldn’t allow Coral to help take care of him, other than grooming, when she offered to volunteer to do stalls, clean water buckets, and help with the barn.

After three years, although it was promised Blue would never be sold to anyone, he ended up in an auction without Coral and her mom knowing. They happened to be visiting the barn on the same day to bring carrots. The previous owner ended up giving Blue to Coral for free, and Blue has been well taken care of and loved for years since.

Blue Fairy Acres got its name from a wish made to an Arch Angel and the horse, Blue, who started it all.
